Another step reached!

Ok, so we had our homestudy visit on Monday. It feels so good to be one step closer. We should have the final draft by the 28th, which means we can then send out our dossier and our USCIS app. Hopefully, we will get our fingerprinting appointment quickly and they will respond quickly with their approval. However, I am planning on it taking awhile, but hoping/praying for the best. If I have learned anything thus far in this process is God has it under control. He has paved the way and will bring us to our children in His timing. So I will wait, daily surrender my will and my timing to Him, and rest in His leading, difficult as it will be :)

We're Movin' to the Congo!

Well, let's just say we are holding true to "we walk by faith, not by sight." Apparently, where we started in this adoption journey, Ethiopia, is not where God will not have us end up. He has lead our hearts to the children of the Democratic Republic of Congo. It will for sure be a new adventure, but we know God has paved the way and are whole-heartedly trusting in His leading.

We are one week out from our homestudy visit and hopefull have our homestudy completed by Easter! Praise God!

Spring Break 2011

Well spring break for 2011 officially ended on Monday!:( Since we have to conserve our vacation we decided to make a quite trip to my sister's house in Kansas City. After a 10 hour drive, we arrived safely at 10:45 pm! WE HAD A BLAST! It was so nice to get away and just be secluded at their place in the country. Unfortunately, I believe we brought with us cold weather, but the kids managed to find enough to keep them occupied. Sadly we had to leave on Tuesday the 29th, but hopefully will see them again soon!

Here's all the kiddos and the only picture taken of our time spent there:( However, I should check Kyle's phone and Ipod, I am positive he has pictures on them!

Anyway, the rest of the break was spent at home doing absolutely nothing, which felt great! Having a blank schedule was very much needed in the Rieth house.

So on the adoption front...we have our home visit scheduled for April 18th. Once that is completed our home study can be written. Once we have a copy of that, our dossier can be completed and then we can get a referral of kiddos!!!!!

God Bless!
